The charge of the Atlanticist Brigade, Russia bashing will boomerang in the Pacific.
The charge of the Atlanticist Brigade By Peter Lee The bloody farce in the Ukraine took another ugly turn with the shooting down of Malaysia Airlines flight MH17. And to be ugly about it, if the rebels shot the plane down, it shouldn’t matter very much except as a horrible and unexpected catastrophe in a war zone and an overwhelming tragedy to the survivors of the victims on board. Call it an accident, collateral damage, manslaughter, there is no credible version of events in which it was intentional mass murder or terrorism, either by the rebels or Russian technicians that, according to the Ukrainian government, possessed the ability to operate the elderly but complex anti-aircraft systems fingered in the attack. Recall the US shootdown of Iran Air Flight 655 in 1988 by the USS … Read entire article »

Use Malaysia’s MH17 to make peace instead of an abuse of a tragedy
Use Malaysia’s MH17 to make peace instead By Jan Oberg, TFF director Tragic misuse of a tragedy The government of Ukraine as well as the separatists, NATO/U.S. and very many leading Western mainstream media seem all to know who has caused the tragedy. Putin believes it was caused indirectly by the West. Given the fact that very few, if any, people or institutions can know who did it with enough details, data and precision to accuse anyone, the MH17 tragedy has been misused to an extent that can itself only be termed tragic. The misuse is tragic because it is a catastrophe for close to 300 people, their relatives and friends. Silence – of both verbal and military weapons – and empathy would have been appropriate. Anyone pointing fingers and calling it a terrorist act … Read entire article »

MH-17 Crash, some aspects silenced by western press:
1. The crash site of the MH-17 is incompatible with the theory of being shot from rebellious area, it has been shot from Svoboda – Ukrainian political party territory, abusively taken for Russian attack on missile launching from which the Ukrainian government bombed Russian border town(s). Only official armies can use the BUK anti-aircraft facility: read: http://russeurope.hypotheses.org/2555 2. The Ukrainian government, though complaining already about violation by Russian fighter jets of its territory failed to install a non-flight zone for civil aviation. 3. The broader geopolitical context, the fight between USA/NAT and Russiaq about the ‘heartland’ has been totally occulted. It is NATO which violated the 1994 Declaration of Paris to build a ‘common Eupean house’ with Russia included. It is the USA infeodated European politicians who betray European interests in name … Read entire article »

The human price of the war on Iraq” Hearing Statement by Hans-C. von Sponeck Former UN Assistant Secretary General, UN Humanitarian Coordinator for Iraq
Hearing at the UK House of Commons, London June 10, 2014 Intro 1. HoC/HoL have repeatedly held Iraq hearings as have British NGOs such as CASI (Campaign Against Sanctions on Iraq) and Stop the War Coalition/UK. In Europe these are considered models for responsible public action. 2. My contribution at this hearing is not about the crimes of dictatorship or the details of Iraqi suffering. For both well researched data is available. The objective of my participation is to make two detailed observations about externally-driven Iraq politics during the period 1990-2014. Observation 1 3. Today’s tragic Iraq reality can only be understood if the additive impact of the years before and the years following the US/UK Governments’ illegal invasion and occupation is fully taken into account. 4. Involved are 3 distinct time periods: 1990-2003: i) 13 years of … Read entire article »

If militarism continues, humankind is doomed (STAND UP AGAINST THE INDUSTRIAL-MILITARY-MEDIA-COMPLEX)

By Jan Oberg Both NATO and the EU has just announced that their members will now invest more in the military. It’s indicative of the lack of creativity in both organisations, it is self-defeating and counter-productive. But have you seen it put on top of any agenda and debated? You haven’t, it is so normal – and the argument is that we are threatened. That’s called fearology: Making tax payers pay even more by making them scared. The … Read entire article »

Things to do for a Hindu Government (AV: against western political correctness)

Dr Koenraad Elst Thursday, May 22, 2014 (Text of the speech given by Dr. Koenraad Elst at India International Centre, 13 January 2014) Vote of thanks Let me start by thanking the many people who have tangibly helped me: with money, hospitality, logistical support, and information. No names here, firstly because it would be unfair to those I forget, secondly because in my case, I don’t return a favour by publicly associating people with my controversial self. Chronologically the first … Read entire article »
